Getting started
SETHU — Semantic Electronic Trust Harbour Utility. A regulated digital harbour for interoperable trust, ledger, and identity services.
SETHU provides ledger anchoring (Hedera Hiero / Hyperledger Fabric), DID issuance and resolution, AI blockchain services, and a verified identity layer — accessible by any platform that needs verifiable, tamper-evident proofs.
Every SETHU account is identity-gated: all applicants must hold a verified TokCred individual DID with an active TKYC Passport. Entity customers and node operators additionally need an approved TokCred entity DID. This ensures every party on the network is cryptographically identified and KYC-verified.
Who can apply

Organisations that issue or verify credentials on their own platform using SETHU ledger and DID services.
Requires: TokCred individual DID (IST) + approved TokCred entity DID
Access path: Self-service application → commercial pipeline

Prerequisites — get your TokCred identity
A verified TokCred identity is required before you can apply
- •All applicants must hold a TokCred individual DID with an active TKYC Passport (IST). This proves your identity has passed KYC on the TokCred platform.
- •If you are applying as an Entity Customer or Node Operator, you additionally need an approved TokCred entity DID — obtained by completing entity onboarding on TokCred.
- •Keep your individual DID and entity DID handy; you will need them on the application form.
Submit your application
Fill in the enquiry form — takes about 5 minutes
- •Click Sign up and complete the enquiry form: org name, contact email, phone number, TokCred individual DID, entity DID (if applicable), and proposed role (Entity Customer or Node Operator).
- •Select the SETHU services you are interested in from the catalogue (e.g. Ledger Anchoring, AI Registry, DID Issuance, Professional Support).
- •Choose your expected monthly verification and issuance volumes. These drive the auto-generated quotation — you can update them later.
- •Optionally describe your primary use case (KYC, credential issuance, trade, health, entitlements, etc.).
- •Submit. You receive an acknowledgement email from our Operations team (operations@sethu.foundation) within minutes confirming receipt.
Receive your commercial quotation
Our Operations team reviews and generates a tailored quote
- •The Operations team reviews your application within 3–5 business days.
- •A commercial quotation is auto-generated from your selected services and volume expectations, with pricing based on your tier (Starter / Growth / Enterprise).
- •Once the quote is approved internally, you receive it by email with a Commitment Reference number (format: CMT-YEAR-XXXXXX).
- •The quotation includes: estimated monthly costs, any one-time fees (e.g. Professional Onboarding), and the upfront security deposit of ₹1,00,000 + GST.
- •Questions? Reply to the email or contact Priya Venkataraman at operations@sethu.foundation.
Sign the commercial agreement
Review and sign your SETHU services agreement via DocuSign
- •Once the quote is approved, a DocuSign agreement is sent to your contact email — no printing or scanning needed.
- •The agreement references your Commitment ID, the agreed services, and payment terms.
- •Sign electronically. The signed copy is retained by both parties automatically.
- •After signing, you receive a payment slip with SETHU Foundation's bank details.
Pay the upfront security deposit
Transfer the deposit via bank transfer to activate your account
- •The upfront deposit is ₹1,00,000 + 18% GST (₹1,18,000 total). This is a refundable security deposit held against your account.
- •Transfer by Bank Transfer (NEFT/RTGS/IMPS), Demand Draft, UPI, SWIFT, or Card. Bank details are in the payment slip email.
- •Important: include your Commitment ID (CMT-YEAR-XXXXXX) in the payment narration/remarks so the Operations team can match your payment automatically.
- •Once payment is confirmed by Operations, your SETHU customer account is created within 1 business day.
- •You will receive a welcome email with a one-time account activation link.
Sign in and get API keys
Activate your account and create keys for your integrations
- •Click the activation link in your welcome email to set your password and sign in via Firebase.
- •On subsequent logins, sign in at sethu.foundation with your contact email.
- •Go to Dashboard → API Keys and click Create key. Choose environment: sandbox or production.
- •The raw API key is shown once only — copy and store it in your secrets manager (e.g. AWS Secrets Manager, HashiCorp Vault).
- •Create separate keys per environment and per service. Rotate or revoke keys from Dashboard → API Keys at any time.
Configure integration mode and make your first call
Connect your platform and call SETHU APIs
- •Go to Dashboard → Integration Center. Select your mode: LEDGER_VIA_SETHU (ledger anchoring), AGENT_VIA_SETHU (AI blockchain), or FULL_VIA_SETHU (both).
- •The Integration Center generates a config bundle with env vars: SETHU_LEDGER_URL, SETHU_API_KEY, SETHU_CLIENT_ID, SETHU_CLIENT_SECRET.
- •Ledger write: POST /v1/sethu/ledger/ist — anchor an identity state hash to Hedera Hiero.
- •Ledger read: GET /v1/sethu/ledger/mirror/:did — read the latest anchored state for a DID.
- •DID services: POST /v1/sethu/did/create, POST /v1/sethu/did/prove, GET /v1/sethu/did/resolve/:did.
- •AI blockchain: agent registration anchoring and negative-event logging (triggered from TokCred on agent lifecycle events).
- •Run Integration Center validation checks, fix any blockers, then activate.
Common integration patterns
- Ledger-only: Anchor identity state hashes, credential hashes, or any tamper-evident proofs to Hedera Hiero or Hyperledger Fabric. Use
LEDGER_VIA_SETHUmode. - DID issuance & resolution: Create and resolve
did:tokcredidentifiers for individuals and entities. Works standalone or combined with ledger mode. - AI blockchain: Registration anchoring and negative-event logging for AI agents (called by TokCred on agent lifecycle events). Use
AGENT_VIA_SETHUmode. - Full integration: Ledger anchoring + DID + AI blockchain in a single integration. Use
FULL_VIA_SETHUmode.
Capabilities
- Proof history, activity logs, and verification receipt PDFs (consent audit, dispute resolution)
- Credential expiry tracking and renewal, time-bound proofs
- Selective disclosure, JWT and AnonCreds credential formats, multi-DID linking
- AnonCreds schema and credential definition registry
- Maker-checker change management and full audit trails for all platform mutations
- Wallet credential storage with consent-managed selective disclosure
